Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and professional DOH Pharmacist to join our growing team and oversee all pharmacy-related operations in line with the Department of Health (DOH) regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional pharmaceutical care and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. As a DOH Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medication by patients while also adhering to regulatory guidelines and delivering exceptional customer service. You will be instrumental in educating patients about their prescriptions, managing pharmaceutical inventory, and maintaining comprehensive records. Responsibilities

  • Review and validate all prescriptions for accuracy and compliance with DOH standards.
  • Counsel patients on medication use, potential side effects, and dietary guidelines.
  • Monitor patients for drug interactions and contraindications to ensure safety.
  • Maintain updated and accurate pharmacy records, including prescription and inventory logs.
  • Manage pharmaceutical stock levels, performing timely inventory audits, and replenishment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patients' therapy and progress.
  • Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with the regulation standards set by DOH.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians and support staff as necessary.
  • Conduct regular health and wellness screenings for preventative patient care.
  • Implement continuous education programs to stay current with pharmacy practices.
  • Facilitate and manage patient health information in compliance with privacy laws.
  • Participate actively in community health programs to enhance public health outreach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid DOH pharmacist license and certification for practice in the region.
  • Strong knowledge of DOH regulations, pharmaceutical compounding, and dispensing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in a DOH-regulated setting.
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
