Dog Handler

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and attentive Dog Care Handler to manage and care for a dedicated room of dogs in our crate-free facility. You will be directly inside the room with the dogs, ensuring they stay safe, engaged, and happy. Because our facility is completely crate-free, you must be comfortable monitoring group dynamics and maintaining a calm, positive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Room Supervision: Actively supervise and monitor a group of dogs playing and resting together in a crate-free room.
• Behavior Monitoring: Read dog body language constantly to ensure all interactions remain friendly and safe. Proactively redirect over-excited or anxious behavior.
• Hygiene & Cleanliness: Maintain a spotless environment by immediately cleaning up messes, sanitizing the room, and washing bowls and toys.
• Basic Care: Feed dogs according to their specific dietary schedules, provide fresh water, and administer basic medications if needed.
• Engagement: Keep the dogs mentally stimulated with safe play, basic commands, and structured rest times.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 1 to 2 years of direct experience working in a professional dog daycare, boarding facility, or pet shelter.
• Skills: Solid understanding of basic dog behavior, play styles, and pack safety.
• Visa Status: UAE Residence Visa holder (Own / Spouse / Parent sponsorship preferred).
• Attributes: High energy, extreme patience, and the physical stamina to stay on your feet and interact with dogs throughout the shift.
• Passion: A true love for dogs and a strong commitment to keeping them safe and comfortable.
