2. About the Opportunity:

The Dispatcher/Router Combo plays a critical role in coordinating waste collection services by communicating with drivers, managing service orders, and resolving issues during routes. This position ensures timely and efficient routing for same-day and next-day operations, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational productivity. The role requires managing multiple communication channels and software tools to optimize driver deployment and service delivery within a dynamic environment.

3. Responsibilities:

• Dispatch drivers to calls using information on customer needs, driver locations, and load status

• Collaborate with sites and service departments to optimize routes based on customer requirements

• Determine daily driver staffing levels to balance responsiveness and productivity

• Assign routes and service tickets for current and following day operations

• Manage incoming calls and emails from customer service and sales departments regarding container movements

• Communicate with customers during driver service to resolve delays or issues

• Troubleshoot potential delivery and pick-up problems proactively

• Ensure same-day service for missed pick-ups by managing and tracking driver routes

4. Requirements:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D (accredited)

• Minimum six months of relevant team-based work experience with effective communication skills

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills

• Proficient computer skills capable of handling multiple systems and software applications

• Effective and professional communication via email, telephone, and two-way devices

• Willingness and ability to learn proprietary routing software

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $19.00 to $21.00 per hour

• Specific salary will vary based on candidate experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location
