About the Job:
Direct the development of global hospitality projects across multiple jurisdictions.
Travel to key project locations to support project delivery, stakeholder engagement, site visits, and operational oversight as required.
Prepare internal reporting and documents towards obtaining relevant approvals as per the group’s corporate governance requirements.
Assist in defining the terms of reference, preliminary visualization, project initial creative concept & design and obtain internal approval and alignment on such matters.
Prepare and release tenders for consultancy of the various delivery projects, based on Dubai Holding requirements, defining the (i) scope of services documenting the project deliverables, (ii) the cost budget and (iii) the approximate timeline as per DOA and as such, retain and appoint the relevant consultants.
Manage the project design including evaluation of design team, regular meetings with external consultants, coordination with all concerned authorities, follow up design time schedules and monitor the progress of design activities.
Monitor and control all assigned projects’ progress, consultants & contractor’s performance and stakeholder engagement to ensure completion of projects within budget, timeline and scope and as such ensure budgets and programme are monitored against actual and variations are identified, and corrective actions are put in place where required to support the group in achieving its goals.
Ensure efficient planning and allocation of all resources and implement appropriate standards by directing the projects team into achieving the overall targets.
Direct and manage the external teams in delivering building services (design review, fit-out review and project plan).
Assess the potential project execution risks identified and provide action plans incorporating best practices on engineering concepts and other innovative methods.
Ensure that the group’s procedures and policies are being complied with.
Formulate departmental strategies and objectives for the provision of building services support to DH in line with the strategy, vision and mission and ensure implementation of the key strategic elements and timely execution.
Lead the implementation of the annual operating plan for all projects to ensure the business objectives are achieved and review department performance to ensure targets are met.
About You:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in the construction industry from either a developer or consultancy background.
At least 5 years focused on project delivery, preferably within a top tier developer international project management firm or developer with specific experience on luxury hospitality.
Experience of projects including land reclamation preferred
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Construction related discipline, i.e. Construction Project Management, Building Surveying, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Architecture.
MRICS or equivalent chartership is preferred.
Construction Knowledge: Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, including design processes, construction methodologies, and technical details.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage consultants, specialists, and contractors, fostering collaboration and driving successful outcomes.
Procurement & Contracts: Experience managing tender processes and a strong understanding of contract administration, variations, and standard construction contracts.
Budget & Cost Management: Commercially aware with the ability to manage budgets, control costs, and lead value engineering initiatives to deliver cost-effective solutions.
Stakeholder Management: Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with operational teams, consultants, contractors, authorities, and other key stakeholders.
Project Management: Proficient in applying project management processes, development tools, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Sustainability: Knowledge of sustainable construction practices, renewable technologies, and industry best practices.
Program Management: Ability to assess program impacts, manage schedules, and mitigate delays to support project delivery objectives.
Quality Control: Experience overseeing quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality projects.
Reporting & Communication: Strong reporting, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders up to Group CEO level.
Risk Management: Ability to identify, document, and mitigate project risks to ensure delivery within agreed constraints.
Other Skills: Excellent negotiation, organisation, time management, interpersonal, and attention-to-detail skills.
