About The Role

The Director of Performance & Strategy at Moove is responsible for driving business performance, planning discipline, and execution across markets. This role owns the end-to-end performance management cycle, including running business reviews, leading planning processes, and identifying and driving resolution of key performance issues in partnership with market and functional leaders. In parallel, you will act as a strategic partner to local teams, supporting critical decisions on growth, profitability, pricing, and expansion, while aligning cross-functional stakeholders. The role also leads key strategic initiatives, including new market launches, new business lines (e.g. AV), and other growth opportunities, ensuring disciplined execution from planning through implementation.

This role is a "temp role" of 6 months.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Moove scales across markets, this role ensures consistent delivery across four core areas: business performance, project management across centrally driven initiatives, expansion, and cross-functional execution.

Critical outcomes (6–12 months)

  • Establish a consistent performance management cadence across markets (SteerCos, dashboards, planning cycles)
  • Identify and address key drivers of underperformance, improving profitability and operational efficiency
  • Deliver high-impact strategic initiatives (e.g., market launches, pricing improvements, new revenue streams)

Scope of responsibilities & impact areas

  • Performance Management: Own weekly and monthly business reviews, track key metrics, and lead deep dives to understand performance drivers and gaps
  • Strategic Planning: Lead annual budgeting, OKRs, and quarterly planning processes, ensuring alignment between company goals and market execution
  • Market Support: Provide hands-on support to local teams on growth, profitability, pricing, and expansion decisions through structured analysis
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with Finance, Legal, Tech, and Operations to resolve issues and ensure delivery of key priorities
  • Data & Reporting: Partner with Data/BI teams to build and maintain accurate, automated dashboards, ensuring a single source of truth and reducing manual reporting
  • Central Program Management: Track and manage key strategic commitments, ensuring accountability and timely execution across teams
  • Expansion & Growth: Support and lead new market launches, new categories, and other strategic initiatives from evaluation through implementation

What You Will Need For This Position

Experience:

  • 10-12+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or similar roles in high-growth environments
  • Strong track record of driving business performance and solving complex operational problems
  • Experience working across multiple markets or regions is preferred

Education & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and financial modeling
  • Familiarity with BI tools
  • Solid understanding of unit economics, cost structures, and performance drivers

Behavioural & Leadership Traits:

  • Structured problem-solver with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and influence decisions across teams
  • Clear and effective communicator, including with senior leadership
  • High ownership and ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Focus on execution and delivering measurable outcomes

Key Metrics

Improvement in core business metrics such as revenue growth, utilization, contribution margin, and cashflow

  • Effectiveness of performance management processes (e.g., quality and consistency of reviews, dashboard adoption)
  • Successful delivery of strategic initiatives, including market launches and new revenue streams
