2 Hour Learning has developed a system enabling students to learn at double the rate in only two hours per day. This performance is powered by AI-driven tutoring, mastery-oriented advancement, and a fundamental reimagining of traditional schooling. The outcomes speak for themselves. We now need a leader who can harmonize execution across varied school implementations, elevate academic standards, and champion this evidence-based movement on a global stage.

This role is not theoretical. It is a leadership charge. You will take ownership of academic strategy in action, define rigorous standards, surface performance gaps, and develop elite teams to achieve tangible results. You will convert our learning science foundation into operational excellence and advocate for this approach worldwide.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Developing academic frameworks that bridge learning science with actionable strategies for curriculum design, student motivation, and application architecture.
  • Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to guarantee school teams remain aligned, responsible, and results-driven.
  • Integrating data, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that reveal critical bottlenecks to accelerated learning and recommend targeted solutions.
  • Ensuring strategic coherence through planning cycles, feedback mechanisms, and milestone oversight to sustain focus on learning objectives.
  • Serving as the principal representative of 2 Hour Learning in high-profile settings—from conference keynotes to engagements with national education ministries—to influence global perspectives on schooling.

  • Engaging in isolated curriculum initiatives that lack broader systemic impact.
  • Producing theoretical research disconnected from measurable student outcomes or operational implementation.
  • Shifting accountability for performance to consultants or mid-level managers.
  • Depending on institutional prestige or academic credentials alone to convince skeptical audiences.

Director Of Learning Strategy Key Responsibilities

Expand and strengthen 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by harmonizing execution across multiple schools, raising leadership benchmarks, and establishing yourself as the authoritative voice of a movement built on rigorous science and demonstrated impact.

Basic Requirements

  • Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
  • At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a team of staff/employees (not an informal peer leader role, such as grade-level lead); you must have been responsible for hiring, monitoring performance, coaching, and making termination decisions
  • Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards
  • Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education, such as through personalized learning, adaptive learning, AI agents, etc.
  • Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people (e.g., the teams you managed directly executed curriculum, instruction, or assessment)
  • Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
