Key Result Areas

  • Lead the origination of outbound business from international sites (US, HK, UK, & India) into core markets (GCC & Egypt), and vice versa covering lending, liquidity and trade requirements. Job will also oversee International NPCs strategy formation & implementation with focus on trade flows into core markets.
  • Structure banking solutions across all products (RCF, bilateral WC, supply chain finance, receivable discounting, cash management) tailored to multinational clients, aligned with sector and country strategies in addition to active participation in creating client plans & roadmap to enhance Mashreq’s share of wallet.
  • Build and mentor team members, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and KPIs to drive a successful strategy implementation.
  • Leverage advanced analytics, focusing on high-potential sectors (Trading, Services, Manufacturing, Energy) to capture in bound opportunities into core markets (GCC & Egypt).
  • Build strategic relationships with key decision-makers & stakeholders.
  • Drive collaboration with banking partners (e.g., Mizuho Bank, Commerzbank) to capture new business opportunities & enhance market share.
  • Manage a global pipeline & drive joint pipeline discussions with sector, country, and GTB sales teams.
  • Track KPIs for inbound and outbound origination, MNC portfolio monitoring, and attrition ratification.
  • Ensure adherence to credit, operational, reputational, financial crime, and regulatory risk frameworks.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration & teamwork across functions & coverage teams.
  • Engage in relevant digitization projects & initiatives to enhance origination, pipeline management & conversion time.

  • Operate within well-defined and demarcated business areas.
  • Effectively liaise with superiors and direct reports within the business unit, Wholesale Risk Management and related support units to achieve business objectives
  • Maintain close working relationship with clients to ensure in-depth understanding of business to reduce risks and maximize earnings.
  • Ensure compliance to internal and regulatory requirements on operations, business development and credit standards.
  • Plan and implement appropriate client planning activities across the countries & Sectors covering a diversified range of products including TGM, GTB, RBG and so on.
  • Effective collaboration with all stakeholders & ability to resolve any internal issues ensuring effective and timely conversion of transactions.
  • The incumbent is primarily responsible for the achievement of the budgeted growth in terms of advances, revenues / EBVs and liabilities while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Professional Experience: The individual should have 10-15 years of experience in corporate banking, with significant exposure to MNC customers & cross border business flows. Background should include expertise in coverage, originating corporate deals, managing cross-border transactions, and overseeing portfolios.
  • Market Expertise: They possess in-depth knowledge of corporate banking landscape, including key sectors, regulatory frameworks, and the competitive environment. Their expertise enables them to effectively navigate market dynamics and anticipate changes.
  • Wholesale Banking Knowledge: The incumbent should have experience related to wholesale banking products, including Investment Banking, Trade Finance, Cash Management, FX, and Derivatives. They should have a strong track record of structuring and managing complex deals for strategic clients.
  • Credit & Risk Management Expertise: The Incumbent should have a solid credit acumen and experience in assessing and mitigating risks associated with large-scale corporate transactions. They balance the bank’s profitability targets with prudent risk management practices.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management: The role requires the job holder to influence and coordinate across teams and departments, acting as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders. Their ability to lead cross-functional roles and manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is crucial to their success.
  • Educational Qualifications: The incumbent should a degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field. They should also ideally possess professional certifications in Corporate Banking to further complement their expertise.
