Key Responsibilities

Strategy

As part of the Africa Middle East eCommerce Sales team, the candidate will be responsible for the distribution and commercialization of Financial Markets products (FX, Commodities, and Money Market) over electronic platforms. This role will cover Institutional and Corporate clients and drive efforts to increase our E footprint across 15 markets in AME.

Business

  • Execute the distribution and commercialization of the E strategy for AME
  • Leverage the bank’s unique DNA and market position to effectively distribute and drive adoption in scale
  • Contribute to the bottom-line by generating new alpha business
  • Manage and cultivate client relationships
  • Drive the adoption of our Single Dealer Platform across all countries and client segments
  • Identify opportunities for upsell and cross-sell into other products and / or channels for revenue growth

Processes

  • Build a client pipeline together with FM voice sales and Transaction Banking partners
  • Proactively engage clients to understand underlying business models and deliver the optimal electronic solution
  • Leverage data to analyse client flow and partner with traders and quants to build the optimal liquidity model
  • Partner with product teams across FM and DCDA to build first-class offerings that address client needs
  • Provide internal training and awareness of FM digital capabilities to stakeholders across the wider CCIB organization

  • Adhere to all Group Policies and relevant legislation covering credit, operational, reputational risk among others.
  • Commitment to Group Code of Conduct and act as an ambassador for good conduct
  • Timely completion of all attestations and requests for information.

  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Willingness to ‘speak up’ in the event of any realized or perceived breach of group conduct rules or laws by colleagues.

Skills And Experience

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Distribution Expertise: Proven ability in prospecting, selling, and cross-selling within financial markets electronic platforms, especially focusing on FX and Commodities.
  • Client-Centric Execution: Strong track record in client relationship management, understanding customer behaviour and preferences to tailor solutions effectively.
  • Regulatory Acumen: Comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory environment governing financial services in diverse markets, particularly within AME regions.
  • Sales Excellence: Demonstrated skills in sales closing techniques and negotiating agreements that balance client needs with organisational objectives.
  • Product and Technology Implementation: Experience in product design and development with a focus on integrating systems and enhancing workflow efficiency.
  • Channel Management: Deep understanding of client needs in electronic FX (EFX) channels and the ability to manage automated risk effectively within electronic trading environments.
