Digital Supply Chain And Automation Lead

Job Purpose

To lead the strategic integration and advancement of digital technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), across the global supply chain. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing innovative digital solutions to drive operational excellence, enhance decision-making, and create a resilient, predictive, and automated supply chain ecosystem.

Job Duties And Key Responsibility Areas

• Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for digital supply chain transformation, with a primary focus on AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
• Lead cross-functional projects to pilot and scale digital solutions for demand forecasting, inventory optimization, logistics, and predictive maintenance.
• Identify and analyze opportunities for process automation and efficiency gains through the application of AI and other digital tools.
• Collaborate with IT and Data Science teams to build and deploy AI models and ensure robust data governance for supply chain analytics.
• Champion a culture of digital innovation and data-driven decision-making within the supply chain organization.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors, startups, and academic partners to stay at the forefront of emerging supply chain technologies.
• Define, monitor, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the business impact and ROI of digital and AI initiatives.
• Act as the subject matter expert on digital supply chain trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Drive change management activities, including training and communication, to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.
• Oversee the governance and continuous improvement of digital supply chain platforms and applications.
• Responsible for Master Data Management, Dashboarding, Bid Modeling, Supply Chain Analytics, Short fall projection, Demand Plan derivation, Procurement Income modeling, Sales v/s Purchase gap analysis, Inventory policy level updates, Inventory analytics, Reporting to internal and external customers.
  
  

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required.Certifications in AI/ML, Data Science, or Project Management (PMP) are highly desirable.
• 8+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3-5 years in a role focused on digital transformation, advanced analytics, or AI.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing large-scale digital or AI projects within a supply chain context.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts and their practical application in supply chain (e.g., forecasting, optimization, NLP).
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and systems (ERP, WMS, TMS).
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and familiarity with data science languages (e.g., Python, R).
• Excellent project management, change management, and stakeholder influencing skills.Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
