Job Overview

The Digital Marketing Affiliate is responsible for managing and growing the company’s affiliate marketing program, focusing on building strong relationships with affiliate partners, driving traffic to digital properties, and increasing sales and conversions through affiliate channels. This role involves identifying new affiliate partners, tracking performance metrics, and optimizing campaigns to maximize ROI. The ideal candidate has experience in affiliate marketing, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with external partners to achieve marketing objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Affiliate Program Management

  • Manage and grow the company’s affiliate marketing program by recruiting new affiliates and establishing long-term partnerships.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing affiliates, providing them with the necessary tools, resources, and support to maximize their performance.
  • Negotiate commission structures, terms, and agreements with affiliates to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Track affiliate performance metrics, including traffic, conversions, and sales, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.

Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns in collaboration with affiliates to increase brand awareness, drive traffic, and boost conversions.
  • Optimize affiliate marketing campaigns through A/B testing, content performance analysis, and strategic adjustments to improve KPIs such as conversion rates, revenue, and ROI.
  • Collaborate with the digital marketing team to align affiliate campaigns with broader marketing objectives, including SEO, content marketing, and paid advertising.

Affiliate Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Research and identify potential affiliate partners that align with the company’s brand and target audience.
  • Reach out to potential affiliates and engage them in the program by clearly explaining the benefits and expectations.
  • Onboard new affiliates, providing them with the tools and training needed to successfully promote the company’s products or services.

Tracking & Analytics

  • Monitor affiliate campaigns in real-time using affiliate tracking platforms (e.g., ShareASale, Rakuten, CJ Affiliate) to ensure performance meets expectations.
  • Use analytics tools to assess affiliate-driven traffic, sales, and other key metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Create reports on affiliate performance and make data-driven recommendations to enhance the program’s effectiveness and profitability.

Commission & Payment Management

  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of affiliate sales, traffic, and commissions, ensuring affiliates are compensated promptly and fairly.
  • Coordinate with the finance team to process affiliate payments and resolve any payment-related issues.
  • Review and audit commission structures to ensure they remain competitive and fair, adjusting as needed to attract and retain top-performing affiliates.

Compliance & Legal Management

  • Ensure affiliate marketing activities comply with legal regulations, brand guidelines, and the company’s ethical standards.
  • Work with legal teams to draft contracts and affiliate terms and conditions, ensuring clarity and transparency for all parties.
  • Monitor affiliate content to ensure it aligns with brand standards and marketing guidelines, addressing any violations promptly.

Market & Industry Research

  • Stay up to date on trends and best practices in affiliate marketing, exploring new platforms, tools, and strategies to improve campaign performance.
  • Conduct competitive research to identify opportunities for growth and ways to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Analyze affiliate marketing industry data and adapt strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in affiliate marketing, digital marketing, or performance marketing.
  • Proficiency in affiliate marketing platforms (e.g., ShareASale, Commission Junction, Rakuten) and affiliate tracking tools.
  • Strong understanding of performance-based marketing, ROI analysis, and campaign optimization.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with affiliate partners.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and make actionable recommendations.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with online marketing channels such as SEO, paid advertising, and email marketing.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools like Google Analytics and conversion tracking software.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and content management systems (CMS) is a plus.
  • Experience working in an e-commerce or SaaS environment is an advantage.
