Overview Of The Role:
- As a Digital Commercial Planning Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and profitability across IKEAs digital platforms. The role involves developing detailed commercial calendars and strategies, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency, and analyzing market trends to keep the offerings competitive. You will be responsible for sales forecasting, tracking commercial success, and reporting insights to stakeholders. The position requires collaboration with creative teams and other commercial functions to align activities with campaign objectives and strategic goals.
What You Will Do:
Sales and E-commerce Strategy
- Lead the commercial agenda across the Digital Channels, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Act as a member of the Selling function, contributing to E-commerce goals and sales.
- Develop and execute strategies for sales forecasting and commercial planning.
- Coordinate with diverse teams to ensure consistency across online channels.
- Forecast online sales using market trends, historical data, and commercial activities.
- Work closely with the creative team to align digital marketing content with campaign objectives.
Market Analysis and Competitive Strategy
- Analyse competitor offers and market trends to identify customer preferences.
- Understand online shopping trends for insight into customer needs and behaviors.
- Ensure IKEA’s online offerings remain competitive in the market.
- Monitor and follow-up on KPIs to ensure plans are followed and take corrective actions.
Performance Tracking and Reporting
- Track and analyse the success of E-commerce initiatives, focusing on sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Create concise reports on commercial performance and insights for key stakeholders.
- Keep planning up-to-date with overviews of global and local initiatives.
- Work closely with the global team for alignment on business priorities and technical developments.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Strong specialist knowledge in digital and e-commerce strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influence skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure with flexibility and simplicity.
- Solid understanding of analytics and evolving product strategy based on data.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Extensive experience (at least 5 years) with IKEA range and market knowledge.
- Strong teambuilding, relationship, and networking skills.
- Experience in digital business and sell steering in an omnichannel environment.
- Knowledge of E-commerce, marketing processes, and customer behavior.
- Proven skills in process and organizational thinking, prioritization, and decision-making.
