The position of a Dietitian is critical in promoting health and well-being through the application of food and nutrition sciences. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide guidance and education on nutrition-related matters to patients and their families.
  • Keep detailed records of patient interactions, progress, and dietary plans.
  • Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in the fields of nutrition and dietetics.
  • Organize and conduct workshops and seminars on health, nutrition, and wellness topics.
  • Advise on food safety practices and nutritional policies within healthcare facilities.
  • Evaluate dietary supplements and emerging diet trends for efficacy and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations in practice.
  • Contribute to public health initiatives aimed at reducing dietary-related health issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid certification or license to practice as a Dietitian within the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience assessing nutritional needs and creating dietary plans for diverse populations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay updated with scientific literature and current practices in dietetics.
  • Proficiency in using nutrition software and electronic health record systems.
  • Commitment to confidential patient interaction and adherence to ethical standards in dietetics.
  • Experience with public speaking or leading group education sessions is a plus.
