Key Accountabilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

Masterplanning

  • Support Senior VP and Development Directors in development of the masterplan vision, ensuring that it aligns with the overall project goals, market requirements, and long-term development strategies.
  • Ensure that the masterplan responds to contextual factors, such as site conditions, infrastructure, and local culture.
  • Assist in developing project briefs, scopes of work, and supporting documents for tendering and awarding design consultant contracts.
  • Participate where required in the tender evaluation and award process to support the engagement of qualified design consultants.
  • Support the Director/Associate Director in overseeing the design consultant team from onboarding and execution planning to the delivery of a fully coordinated design package for assigned projects
  • Provide day to day management and regular reporting on the progress of the development Team and sub consultants.
  • Assist the overall programme on codes and standards, design strategies, and processes necessary to complete the projects.
  • Provide regular written reports on project status details. Assist the SVP and directors to manage the allocated project or projects design so that the work is fully integrated.
  • Independently prepare non-standard reports, presentations, and correspondence, including coordinating production, scheduling graphics, editing, and reproduction.
  • Create detailed drawings using appropriate artistic and graphic skills and converting these into technical drawings where appropriate

Prepare Design Guidelines

  • Support the translation of research findings on physical environments into clear actionable design guidelines, ranging from space planning, to facades, to sustainability, to landscape details, using clear written descriptions and
  • Compile and clarify preferences for typical design details – whether facade, interior design, landscape or other – and organize them into clear and actionable design guidelines and related material.

Develop and Refine Project Resources, Templates and Guidelines

Support the development and/or refinement of key departmental systems, including design guidelines, graphic standards, templates, processes, procedures and other resources

Design Management (Design and Delivery-Focused)

  • Support the development of a detailed design brief, incorporating product objectives, project and context description, collating all relevant background information and related documents, and defining the key design objectives and technical criteria

Support the Design Management Process

  • Occasionally guide projects through the various stages of the project, from origination to design vision to detailed design, in coordination with the other Verticals.
  • In case of conflicting stakeholder feedback, seek to resolve issues of concern in the best interest of the company, and endeavor to explain the rationale to the parties concerned.

Manage Project Schedule and Progress Reporting

  • Coordinate with internal and/or external stakeholders to define detailed project schedules to account for

the major work streams, notable milestones, and statutory authority approval process.

  • Create shorter duration project roadmaps highlighting the key milestones and tasks to guide the progress of the project over a smaller portion of the project lifecycle (ex. 90-day periods).
  • Prepare regular progress reports highlighting the status of the community and suitable for review by executive leadership.

Qualifications, Experiences

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Urban Design, Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field

Minimum of 8 years of experience in Architecture and Urban Design. Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong creative design skills, including freehand sketching. Graphic presentations in various software packages such as power point deck preparation, photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Design Suite software. Extensive experience across all phases of architectural projects, from concept to completion
