Development Support Lead TEKLA

We're recruiting a Development Support Lead – TEKLA for one of our clients, a leading organization in the Oil & Gas industry based in Dubai, UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and enforce technical standards, development protocols, and QA/QC procedures for all Tekla-related deliverables
  
• Serve as the key technical liaison between the technical office, engineering, fabrication, and construction teams
  
• Participate in strategic planning to improve BIM and Tekla integration across the organization
  
• Lead and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of custom Tekla tools, plugins, components, and automated workflows using Tekla Open API (C#)
  
• Guide the implementation of parametric components, custom templates, intelligent drawings, and automated reporting features
  
• Oversee the integration of Tekla with ERP, MIS, CNC fabrication systems, and other digital platforms
  
• Organize and conduct internal training sessions and workshops on advanced Tekla and steel detailing workflows
  
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mandatory)
  
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in Tekla Structures development and structural steel engineering
  
• Proven track record of leading Tekla support and development teams in a structural steel environment
  
• Expertise in Tekla Open API (C#) and custom plugin development
  
• Extensive knowledge of steel fabrication practices, international detailing codes, and structural design standards
  
• Strong understanding of BIM workflows, model coordination, clash detection, and multi-discipline integration
  
• Familiarity with platforms such as Revit, Navisworks, Trimble Connect, and SQL databases is an advantage
