Job Description

The Desktop Support Engineer provides technical support for end-users and resolves issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and software applications. They install and configure hardware and software, troubleshoot technical problems, and provide training to users. The Desktop Support Engineer also maintains and upgrades computer systems.


Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and software applications.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and resolve technical problems.
  • Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Set up and support networks and internet connectivity.
  • Ensure data security and perform data backups.
  • Train end-users on software applications and computer systems.
  • Collaborate with system administrators and IT teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Stay updated with new technologies and industry trends.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in desktop support or IT support.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows and macOS.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
