Job Description
The Inspector - Dry Utilities is responsible for inspecting and ensuring the quality and compliance of dry utility installations, such as water, gas, and electricity, in construction projects. They conduct inspections, review project plans and specifications, and collaborate with contractors and utility companies to resolve any issues or deficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of dry utility installations to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and project specifications.
- Review project plans, drawings, and documentation to verify accuracy and adherence to requirements.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and utility companies to address any technical or quality issues.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing potential risks and delays.
- Provide technical guidance and support to contractors during construction activities.
- Verify material certifications and test reports for quality control.
- Conduct field tests and inspections to ensure the proper functioning of utility systems.
- Document and maintain comprehensive inspection records and reports.
- Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed on-site.
- Keep up-to-date with industry standards and best practices related to dry utility installations.
Requirements
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in inspecting dry utility installations in construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
