We are seeking a qualified and experienced Structural Design Engineer specializing in bridge construction projects in the UAE. The candidate will be responsible for the structural analysis, design, and detailing of bridge structures in compliance with international standards and local authority regulations. The role requires strong technical expertise in reinforced concrete and steel structures, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and experience in design submissions to UAE authorities (e.g., ADM, RTA, AADC, Etihad Rail where applicable).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of bridges including precast, cast-in-situ, post-tensioned, and steel composite structures.
  
  

• Prepare detailed design calculations, technical reports, and design justifications.
  
  

• Develop structural drawings in coordination with drafting teams.
  
  

• Ensure compliance with AASHTO, BS, Eurocodes, and UAE authority standards.
  
  

• Review geotechnical reports and incorporate foundation design parameters.
  
  

• Design substructures including piers, abutments, pile caps, and foundations.
  
  

• Coordinate with traffic, road, geotechnical, and MEP disciplines.
  
  

• Attend technical meetings with clients, consultants, and authorities.
  
  

• Review shop drawings and provide technical clarifications during construction.
  
  

• Conduct value engineering and optimization of structural systems.
  
  

• Provide site support during construction for design-related issues.
  
  
  
  
  

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
  
  

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in bridge design projects, preferably within the UAE or GCC.
  
  

• Professional registration or chartership is an advantage.
  
  
  
  
  

• Strong proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., MIDAS Civil, SAP2000, CSI Bridge, STAAD.Pro).
  
  

• Experience with post-tensioned bridge design is highly desirable.
  
  

• Familiarity with AutoCAD and structural detailing standards.
  
  

• Knowledge of BIM coordination (Revit experience is an advantage).
  
  

• Strong understanding of load combinations, seismic analysis, and dynamic loading.
