About Wynn Al Marjan Island:

Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE. Set to open in 2027, the resort will be located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The resort will offer 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. It will feature multiple swimming and wading pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.

About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Deputy Stage Manager to join the resort’s Theater Operations team.

Responsibilities

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Assist the Stage Manager with managing daily performances and rehearsals.
• Run rehearsals as required, which may include calling of cues and the ability to execute in show-like conditions.
• Must understand all lifts, winches, scenic elements and illusions.
• Support the Stage Manager in calling the show and assist in maintaining control of technical and performance elements.
• Assist with deck track operations during performances when required.
• Help produce the daily rehearsal schedule.
• communicate and distribute the daily schedule as directed.
• Support performer management across theater levels and assist with apparatus coordination.
• Provide sound support during rehearsals when needed.
• Assist in maintaining the cast line-up schedule and support performer track rotations.
• Help maintain and post daily sign-in sheets.
• Assist the Stage Manager with managing the performers in terms of safety, time management, efficiency and communication.
• Work with the Stage Management team to rehearse and implement safety procedures.
• Support problem-solving efforts during performances or rehearsals and communicate issues appropriately.
• Assist in orienting new performers and providing theater tours.
• Support performer understanding of schedules, safety measures, and stage management protocols.
• Assist the Stage Manager with the Stage Management bible which includes the gathering of information from all technical departments, updating the various forms that are in the bible and updating other information as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
  
  

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent work-related experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of four (4) years’ management experience working as a Deputy Stage Manager for a large-scale theatrical or production show with automated systems or similar position.
• Must have experience working with a variety of cast members.
• Must have knowledge and understanding of automation and rigging which apply to cueing and creating a safe work environment for performers and crew. Must also have knowledge of lighting, audio and carpentry.
• Prior experience working with illusions a plus.
• Must have the ability to read music.
• Must be able to discipline performers and perform under pressure.
• Must have the ability to direct and motivate the performers.
