The role: Deployment strategist

At Aurem, Deployment Strategists are the tip of the spear — driving strategic implementations, shaping products with clients, and turning vision into working systems. You’ll partner with some of the world’s most complex financial institutions to reimagine how they deliver retirement and wealth products at scale.

You won’t just manage projects — you’ll lead transformation from the ground up. You’ll uncover deep user needs, structure ambiguous problems, and orchestrate the deployment of Aurem’s platform to create immediate and lasting impact.

What’s Your Playground

The Deployment Strategist sits at the center of Aurem’s delivery operating model, working across a tightly coordinated team including:

• Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs): Technical leads focused on client-side integrations and implementations
• Platform Operations Managers: Internal enablers who ensure delivery systems, environments, and tooling are ready and aligned
• Business Operations Managers: Owners of compliance, end-user onboarding, and customer support infrastructure, processes and procedures.
  
  

In this structure, Deployment Strategists own the delivery outcome — from scoping to go-live. They are accountable for aligning all functions around a clear roadmap, managing external stakeholders, owning change delivery, and translating complexity into scalable action.

What You’ll Do

• Lead strategic deployments from scoping to go-live — engaging directly with client execs, product teams, and operations leaders
• Shape product from the field, working with engineering and design to tailor Aurem’s platform to complex client workflows
• Define success by deeply understanding the business, regulatory, and operational constraints of clients across retirement, wealth, and insurance
• Drive change by designing modular rollout strategies that minimize risk, accelerate time to value, and scale impact over time
• Operate as a partner, not a vendor — challenging client thinking, unblocking complexity, and aligning stakeholders around a new way of operating
  
  

What You Bring

• 5–10+ years experience in consulting, strategy, fintech, or enterprise deployment in a high-stakes environment
• Deep analytical and first-principles problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management, from C-suite to operations floor
• Comfort navigating ambiguity, complexity, and rapid scale
• An instinct for systems thinking, user needs, and product design
• Experience with financial services — especially retirement, wealth, or insurance — is a strong advantage
  
  

Expected Outcomes

• Deliver client onboarding and deployment plans that are tightly scoped, on time, and aligned with measurable success criteria
• Ensure cross-functional coordination across internal teams (Platform Ops, FDEs, Biz Ops) and client stakeholders
• Translate business requirements into actionable product inputs and support agile iteration throughout implementation
• Design and own repeatable delivery playbooks, standardizing rituals like kickoffs, RAG tracking, and change control
• Lead structured change management processes, including the intake, prioritization, and delivery of change requests in close alignment with client and internal teams
• Be recognized by clients as a trusted partner, not just a delivery lead — able to unblock complexity, drive decisions, and influence outcomes at multiple levels
