Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team and provide top-notch dental care services to our valued patients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring patient comfort, preparing them for treatments, and assisting dentists during procedures. Responsibilities

  • Prepare examination and surgical rooms by setting up necessary instruments and equipment.
  • Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including but not limited to cleanings, fillings, and extractions.
  • Ensure patient comfort by explaining procedures and providing reassurance throughout the process.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and infection control standards in the treatment area.
  • Take, develop, and mount accurate and high-quality dental radiographs.
  • Record patient information, examination results, and treatment plans accurately in dental charts.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the calendar to optimize office efficiency.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
  • Order and manage inventory of dental materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Perform administrative duties, including maintaining patient records and front desk operations.
  • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment following regulatory protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operation of dental services.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program is required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a dental assisting role preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with dental charting software and digital radiography equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
  • Understanding of basic dental terminology and procedures is essential.
