Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and proficient Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice by supporting our dentists, enhancing patient care, and maintaining efficient clinic operations. Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during clinical procedures by preparing the required dental instruments.
  • Ensure that all dental equipment is sterilized and organized for patient use.
  • Provide support and reassurance to patients before, during, and after treatments.
  • Gather and maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
  • Mix and prepare dental materials such as impression materials and cements.
  • Coordinate with the dental team to schedule patient appointments efficiently.
  • Take intraoral radiographs and ensure proper imaging for dental examinations.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with health regulations.
  • Manage dental supply inventory and report orders to maintain necessary stock levels.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
  • Assist with billing and processing insurance claims when necessary.
  • Participate in staff meetings and undertake continuous professional development sessions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited dental assistant program is highly desirable.
  • Valid state certification or licensure for dental assisting practices.
  • Strong understanding of dental techniques, materials, and instruments.
  • Proficient in dental software, office management, and record-keeping systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients effectively.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Compassionate approach with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
