Job Description

What you will be doing:

• Ensure all pastry products are prepared and presented consistently.
• Assist the Pastry Chef with daily production and service requirements.
• Set up and organize the pastry section before service.
• Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and stock rotation following FIFO procedures.
• Monitor ingredient quality and report shortages or wastage to the Pastry Chef.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the pastry kitchen, equipment, and workstations.
• Follow food safety, HACCP, and workplace safety standards.
• Support menu development and contribute new ideas for desserts and pastry products.
• Train and guide Commis Chefs and junior pastry team members when required.
• Ensure all orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Minimize food waste while maintaining product quality.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Pastry Chef or Executive Chef.
  
  

• Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or Commis 1 - Pastry/Bakery
• Culinary or pastry/bakery qualification preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced kitchen environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP standards.
