Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will play a pivotal role in preparing and presenting dishes in our kitchen. You will work closely with the Chef de Partie to ensure that our food maintains its high standards of excellence and quality. This position requires a dedicated individual who is eager to learn and strives for excellence in cooking. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen areas.
  • Ensure that food is stored and prepared according to the established guidelines.
  • Monitor food stock and place orders as needed to maintain proper supplies.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Support the Chef de Partie in developing new menu items and specials.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared consistently to the restaurant's standards.
  • Manage and resolve any issues related to kitchen operations efficiently.
  • Adhere to strict food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
  • Participate in regular kitchen cleaning schedules and maintenance checks.
  • Provide assistance in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
  • Assist in plating and garnishing dishes to enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen.
  • Formal culinary training or a strong understanding of cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high pressure situations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality food.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines and procedures.
  • Excellent team working skills and a passion for culinary arts.
  • Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
