Job Description

The Demand & Supply Planner for 24N25 is a vital role responsible for efficiently managing the company's inventory and production schedules to meet customer demand while minimizing costs. This position requires a keen analytic mindset and advanced skills in demand forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain coordination. You will work closely with sales, operations, and product management teams to align supply with anticipated market demand. As a Demand & Supply Planner, you are expected to proactively identify risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them. Your ability to balance analytical thinking with strategic execution will directly impact the company's ability to deliver products efficiently and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze historical sales data and market trends to forecast future demand accurately.
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand demand drivers and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Monitor and report on key supply chain metrics, highlighting opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilize advanced planning software to run simulations and assess supply chain scenarios.
  • Manage inventory turnover rates to ensure optimal cash flow and reduce holding costs.
  • Work with the operations team to synchronize production schedules with demand forecasts.
  • Identify potential supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • Prepare detailed reports on supply and demand planning for senior management review.
  • Maintain accurate demand planning documentation and configurations within the ERP system.
  • Continuously review and improve demand planning processes and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in demand planning, supply chain, or inventory management roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in using advanced demand planning and forecasting software tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multifunctional teams to achieve targets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and presentations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in demand forecasts and inventory metrics.
  • Ability to develop strategic plans with a focus on continuous process improvement.
