Responsibilities

• Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport packages to designated locations.
• Follow delivery routes and time schedules to ensure prompt package delivery.
• Assess the condition of packages and report any damages or issues to the dispatch team.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions and addresses from delivery orders.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries regarding deliveries.
• Load and unload packages carefully to minimize damage during transportation.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and update delivery status in real-time systems.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding package handling and safety.
• Perform vehicle inspections daily and report maintenance needs or repairs as necessary.
• Coordinate with the dispatch team to address any delivery issues proactively.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding delivery status.
• Assist the warehouse team in organizing and preparing packages for delivery routes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record free from major offenses.
• Previous experience in a delivery or customer-facing role is an asset.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Familiarity with GPS technology and ability to navigate using digital maps.
• Capability to work independently and manage time effectively on delivery routes.
