Our Deals Strategy & Operations (DSO) team helps clients navigate complex transactions and strategic decisions. We provide deep insights and practical solutions to support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and growth strategies, ensuring sustainable outcomes for businesses across sectors. The Energy, Power & Utilities practice within Deals Strategy focuses on helping governments, regulators, utilities, and private sector players develop strategies that enable energy transition, market liberalization, and sustainable infrastructure development. We support clients in shaping decarbonization pathways and advancing large-scale capital programs across the region.

How You’ll Contribute

As a Senior Manager – Deals Strategy (Power & Utilities), you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing strategic and operational advice for clients, with a focus on pre-deal work
  • Supporting clients across the P&U value chain in developing and executing sector strategies, including decarbonization pathways, energy transition programs, and market liberalization initiatives
  • Conducting market assessments, feasibility studies, commercial due diligence, business planning, and strategy development for energy, power, and water sector clients
  • Advising on large-scale capital programs, regulatory reform initiatives, and privatization efforts, including tariff restructuring and investment promotion strategies
  • Applying knowledge of sector-specific commercial models such as regulated asset base (RAB), IPP/IWPP frameworks, and capacity auctions to shape client strategies and deal execution
  • Overseeing and managing complex projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery while leading teams of consultants
  • Cultivating and managing relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and senior executives
  • Mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in management consulting with a focus on energy, utilities, power, and sustainability sectors
  • Proven experience advising governments and major stakeholders on strategy and corporate finance
  • Strong understanding of regional market dynamics and experience leading high-impact projects in the Middle East
  • Deep knowledge of investment strategies, deal structuring, and the M&A process
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception to completion and guide teams effectively
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to communicate confidently with diverse audiences
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Your flexibility to travel 40–60% of the time. This means we may require you to work away from your base office location on a regular basis and frequent overnight stays may be required. Where possible, we will take your preferences into account and strike a balance between meeting your career development/personal needs and those of the business and our clients
