As a Daycare Teacher you will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for young children in a daycare or preschool setting. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, fostering social and cognitive development, and ensuring the well-being of children under their care. The Daycare Teacher plays a fundamental role in early childhood education, promoting learning through play and positive interactions.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of children.
Provide attentive and responsible supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
Design engaging and interactive play-based learning experiences that encourage curiosity, exploration, and creativity among children.
Facilitate positive social interactions, group activities, and teamwork among children to develop their communication and social skills.
Establish and maintain a structured daily routine that includes meals, nap times, play, learning activities, and outdoor time.
Recognize and address the individual needs and interests of each child, adapting teaching strategies and activities accordingly.
Maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing updates on children's progress, daily activities, and any concerns.
Implement positive behaviour guidance techniques to encourage self-discipline, respect, and cooperation among children.
Follow health and safety protocols, including proper hygiene practices, emergency procedures, and childproofing the environment.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of attendance, activities, observations, and developmental milestones.
High school diploma or equivalent (associate's or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is a plus).
Experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or educational setting.
Knowledge of child development stages, age-appropriate learning activities, and play-based learning approaches.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude towards children.
Ability to create a warm and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a sense of security and belonging.
First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Understanding of child health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
Ability to maintain a clean and organized classroom space.
Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Arabic or other languages may be advantageous for better communication with diverse families.
