About the Role

Suitable for an experienced Datacenter Operations Manager whos capable of leading the full operational lifecycle of large-scale data center infrastructure within a top-tier digital services and telecommunications environment in Dubai. This role is pivotal to ensuring 24/7 uptime, reliability, and security across mission-critical systems including servers, storage, networking, UPS, cooling, power, and fire safety infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing facilities operations, enforcing operational standards, driving compliance, and optimizing performance across multiple data center sites. You’ll serve as the lead technical and engineering interface, managing vendors and contractors, ensuring disaster preparedness, and delivering against key metrics such as KPIs, OKRs, SLAs, and budgets. This is a leadership opportunity to own one of the most critical operational domains in a fast-evolving, high-growth digital infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations and maintenance of mission-critical data center infrastructure including server, storage, and networking systems.
• Manage facility systems such as UPS, HVAC, power supply, and fire suppression for consistent and safe operations.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security across all systems through continuous monitoring and risk mitigation.
• Enforce operational procedures, policies, and best practices aligned with global industry standards.
• Track performance across OKRs, KPIs, SLAs, capacity, and budgets—delivering consistent reporting and insights.
• Drive implementation of business continuity and disaster recovery plans with robust project execution.
• Drive a culture of safety, compliance, and security across all operational activities.
• Lead cross-site optimization and efficiency initiatives, driving improvements in process, tools, and performance.
• Act as the primary engineering and operations interface for all data center-related technical matters.
• Collaborate across departments to elevate systems, tools, and workflows.
• Oversee vendor and contractor performance for infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, and replacements.

What Theyre Looking For:

• 10–15 years of experience in large-scale or hyperscale data center operations and infrastructure management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong background in managing UPS systems, cooling infrastructure, power supply, and fire safety within mission-critical environments.
• Demonstrated leadership in matrix organizations managing both internal teams and external vendors/contractors.
• Experience in operational transformation initiatives supporting growth and scale.
• Strong knowledge of performance tracking tools and frameworks—OKRs, KPIs, SLAs, capacity planning.
• Proven ability to manage risk, compliance, budgeting, and cost control in critical infrastructure environments.
• Professional certifications such as VCP, CCNA, or ITIL are strongly preferred.
• Strategic thinker with hands-on project management expertise.
