Data Protection Engineer

Roles And Responsibilities:

• Day to day administration of Backup & Recovery Jobs.
• Ensure organization data is adequately protected, and recoverable at any point of time.
• Installation, Configuration and Administration of Data Protection Platform.
• Ensure high availability of the Data protection platform (On-Premises & Cloud).
• Conduct periodic recovery, to test the effectiveness of backup and recovery solution.
• Periodic review of backup requirements with application owners.
• Maintain accurate documentation of data protection platform including architecture, policies, and configuration.
• Continuously monitor the Data Protection Platform capability, innovations/improvements, and propose adequate optimizations, modernizations, and enhancements.
• Ensure all the tape media are vaulted securely and always available, if required for data restoration.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Certification in Windows Servers, Azure Cloud Technologies & Virtualization.
• Thorough with ITIL Process (Incident, Service Request and Change Management).
• At least 4 years of experience in managing Veritas NetBackup platform in a large organization.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience on managing Veritas NetBackup solution in a large organization.
  
  

Strong Understanding of Azure Cloud Technology.
