Data Operations Lead

A leading crypto mining and digital asset management firm based in Dubai is seeking a Data Operations Lead to maintain the reliability, accuracy, and integrity of its data infrastructure. This role ensures accurate data collection from multiple hosters, manages electricity cost calculations and prepayment systems, and supports financial and operational decision-making through validated and consistent data.

Working closely with the Head of Software, this position combines technical oversight with analytical precision to ensure all data processes operate seamlessly and align with business requirements.

Responsibilities

Data Infrastructure & Collection

• Maintain and enhance reliable data structures for accurate collection from hosters and providers.
• Ensure validated and consistent data for electricity cost and prepayment calculations.
• Oversee data collection tools and ensure stability with evolving API structures.
• Support daily data flows for financial reporting and operational tracking.

Data Governance & Quality Control

• Implement validation procedures to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
• Conduct regular data audits to identify and resolve system discrepancies.
• Define and monitor KPIs for data accuracy and reliability.
• Maintain clear documentation of data collection and validation processes.

Application & System Operations

• Oversee applications supporting electricity cost estimation, prepayment management, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with the Head of Software to ensure system reliability and consistency.
• Monitor application uptime and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Improve data tools to enhance operational and financial accuracy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Finance and Operations to ensure accurate invoicing and cost validation.
• Align with Software and Infrastructure teams on data architecture requirements.
• Communicate with hosters and external partners to resolve inconsistencies.
• Provide leadership with clear reports on data quality and system performance.

Continuous Improvement & Documentation

• Identify process gaps and propose automation or system improvements.
• Maintain detailed documentation of workflows, validation steps, and dependencies.
• Support ongoing enhancement of data monitoring tools and dashboards.

Qualities & Skills

• Technical Expertise: Strong experience in data engineering, database management, and scalable system design.
• Analytical Skills: Skilled in auditing and validating data to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Problem Solving: Capable of diagnosing complex data issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Operational Awareness: Understands relationships between data systems, electricity costs, and financial reporting.
• Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally with software, finance, and operations teams.
• Languages: Fluency in English required; French or Arabic is an advantage.
