The Data Insights Analyst is responsible for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting large volumes of data to provide actionable insights that drive business strategy and decision-making. This role involves collaborating with various teams — including marketing, sales, and operations — to translate complex data into easy-to-understand recommendations. The ideal candidate is data-driven, curious, and adept at using analytical tools to uncover patterns and trends that influence company performance.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection & Analysis
Collect, clean, and organize data from various internal and external sources.
Use advanced analytical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations across multiple data sets.
Work with cross-functional teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for specific projects or initiatives.
Analyze large data sets to uncover actionable insights that drive improvements in business operations, marketing, and sales.
Reporting & Visualization
Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that highlight key insights and performance trends.
Use tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio to create visually compelling and easy-to-understand reports for stakeholders.
Present findings and recommendations to senior management and non-technical teams in a clear and actionable format.
Strategic Recommendations
Work closely with marketing, product, and business teams to provide data-backed recommendations that influence strategy.
Help teams optimize marketing campaigns, product offerings, and customer experience based on data insights.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define business questions and design data models to answer those questions effectively.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
Continuously monitor data and performance metrics to assess the success of business initiatives.
Perform ongoing analysis to measure and improve the impact of strategies and actions.
Propose strategies to improve ROI, customer engagement, and overall business performance.
Data Governance & Quality Assurance
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all data systems.
Assist in implementing data governance standards to ensure data privacy, security, and compliance.
Support data management processes and help ensure all teams are using accurate and up-to-date data.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role.
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
Strong experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.).
Solid understanding of business performance metrics and KPIs.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience working with large-scale data sets and big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Familiarity with customer data platforms (CDPs) and CRM systems.
Knowledge of statistical analysis and predictive modeling techniques.
Understanding of A/B testing, multivariate testing, and experiment design.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Accuracy and relevance of data insights and recommendations.
Timeliness and effectiveness of reports and dashboards delivered to teams.
Improvement in business performance due to data-driven recommendations.
Quality of data governance and integrity of data used for decision-making.
