Data Engineer - Machine Learning

Job Description

What You will do:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions using Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake)
• Build and optimize SQL-based data models for reporting, analytics, and advanced use cases
• Develop Power BI dashboards and semantic models, ensuring high performance, scalability, and usability
• Implement Python-based data processing, automation, and analytical workflows
• Translate business requirements into end-to-end analytical solutions
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across datasets
• Collaborate with business users, data engineers, and data scientists to deliver impactful insights
• Optimize query performance and costs in cloud-based data platforms
• Support and enhance SAP-integrated analytics, including data extraction and modeling (SAP BODS knowledge is a plus)
• Document solutions, best practices, and technical designs
  
  

• 8 years plus experience in Data engineering preferably in the banking industry.
• Strong expertise in Databricks, including Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and notebooks
• Advanced SQL skills (data modeling, performance tuning, complex queries)
• Hands-on Power BI experience, including:
• DAX measures
• Data modeling
• Performance optimization
• Row-level security (RLS)
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analytics, expertise in Databricks, ADF, Python, SQL, ETL and PowerBI
• Experience working with large-scale datasets in cloud environments
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing principles
