The D&T Head of Region plays a critical leadership role within Aramex Regional LLC as the driving force behind digital transformation and technology innovation tailored to regional needs. This role serves as the essential conduit between the business units operating in the region and the central Digital and Technology division, ensuring that technological initiatives are effectively aligned with local market dynamics and global strategic objectives. Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of digital and technology services, the incumbent champions collaboration among stakeholders, champions operational excellence, and fosters a culture of innovation to propel the region’s competitive edge in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

The D&T Head of Region is entrusted with leading a diverse and high-performing team dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technology solutions designed to meet and anticipate the needs of the region's business stakeholders. This role requires a strategic mindset combined with operational expertise to bridge the gap between local challenges and global digital initiatives.

• Lead and mentor the regional D&T teams, cultivating a collaborative, inclusive, and agile environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regional business stakeholders, translating their requirements into actionable technology solutions while maintaining alignment with corporate standards and priorities.
• Develop and implement strategic technology platforms and systems tailored specifically for the region, coordinating closely with global teams to ensure consistency and interoperability.
• Manage complex projects from planning through execution, leveraging best practices in project management to deliver on time, within scope, and budget.
• Drive seamless integration initiatives with external partners and customers to enhance operational workflows and customer experience.
• Ensure robust compliance with all relevant digital security protocols and data privacy regulations, safeguarding organizational assets and customer information.
• Champion continuous improvement by analyzing performance data, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing enhancements across regional digital and technology operations.
• Oversee financial stewardship of regional D&T activities by managing budgets, controlling expenditures, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization without compromising service quality.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiating contracts to maximize value while mitigating risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster knowledge sharing and drive innovative approaches that contribute to Aramex's leadership in the Digital and Technology domain.
• Produce detailed reports and communicate progress, challenges, and successes with the central D&T leadership and regional stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline is required; a Master’s degree or higher qualification is highly preferred to demonstrate advanced expertise.
• Proven professional background encompassing extensive leadership experience in Information Technology, with a strong preference for candidates who have operated within multinational or cross-cultural organizational settings.
• Deep understanding of the complexities of both global enterprise strategies and regional business environments, enabling effective navigation and alignment between these domains.
• Demonstrated success in delivering complex IT projects and services, showcasing ability to manage diverse teams and drive projects to completion.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, fostering collaboration and trust.
• Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills to anticipate, identify, and resolve challenges proactively.
• Experienced in budget management, financial planning, and cost control within a technology function to ensure resource optimization.
• Comprehensive knowledge of IT security frameworks, data privacy legislation, and regulatory compliance essential to safeguarding organizational information.
• Comfortable operating in a matrix organizational structure, demonstrating flexibility and influence across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Track record of inspiring and leading motivated, high-achieving teams through coaching, mentoring, and empowerment.
• Skilled in vendor management processes, including contract negotiation and performance evaluation, to strengthen partnerships and procurement efficiency.
