As a Customs Country Manager at Siemens Energy you will work on meaningful projects that develop and implement customs strategy, ensuring compliance and efficiency across operations. How You’ll Make An Impact
- Develop and implement a sustainable regional customs strategy aligned with global and local regulations.
- Collaborate with headquarters, regional customs heads, and national authorities to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Implement modern IT systems to streamline customs and logistics operations, ensuring alignment with central roadmaps and regulations.
- Provide end-to-end guidance and support for business operations and projects, ensuring seamless execution.
- Organize and develop training programs for regional customs teams and stakeholders to enhance knowledge and compliance.
- Act as the regional contact for escalations and strategic decisions, managing contracts with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in customs, economics, foreign trade law, or a related field, with 5-7 years of experience in customs.
- High-level professional knowledge of customs and foreign trade regulations, with the ability to translate legal requirements into processes and systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic for effective interaction with local customs authorities and within the organization.
- Strong team player with exceptional networking skills, adaptable to diverse working environments and cultures.
- Proven experience in leading diverse teams, fostering collaboration, and driving results in multicultural settings.
- Ability to coach and develop talents, optimizing functional processes and driving digitalization and automation initiatives.
