Summary

The Customer Support Specialist - Commercial is responsible for managing assigned customer service orders and contracts and ensuring seamless execution of commercial operations across the full order lifecycle, from enquiry to delivery and invoicing. The role supports commercial activities across the Local Unit based in Dubai, covering multiple countries in the Middle East and a diverse customer base within a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.

As the primary commercial interface for allocated accounts, the role drives timely communication, issue resolution, and high service quality. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the position ensures accurate order processing, strict adherence to trade compliance protocols, and consistent achievement of performance targets. The role also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Head of Operations and is permanent.

Your Responsibilities

  • Execute and support daily commercial operations in the Middle East, including sales and purchase order processing in SAP and internal systems, ensuring accuracy and data quality.
  • Serve as the primary commercial interface for assigned customers and contracts, ensuring timely, professional communication and effective resolution of customer queries across the order lifecycle.
  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Operations, Logistics, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth order execution, proactive follow-up, and high customer satisfaction (UAE, the Middle East, the Head Office in Switzerland, etc.).
  • Support inter-station coordination and project-based commercial activities.
  • Manage and support commercial activities for Iraq-based customers and shipyard requirements in the Middle East, ensuring effective coordination, timely follow-up, and compliant order execution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and supporting optimization initiatives.
  • Monitor and deliver against assigned KPIs and performance targets.
  • Ensure strict adherence to trade compliance regulations while upholding the highest standards of safety, integrity, and ethical conduct.

Your Background

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial support or sales support roles with direct customer interaction in a technical/industrial environment.
  • Strong techno-commercial acumen with a customer-centric approach and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Good understanding of commercial end-to-end processes, with experience in order handling, customer support, or service sales operations.
  • Prior exposure to marine, energy, or related industrial service sectors is an advantage.
  • Experience working in an international environment with cross-functional collaboration is an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills, is required.
  • Arabic language fluency would be an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/CRM systems (e.g., SAP) for order processing and customer support.
  • Degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Mechatronics preferred) or Business Administration.
