About the Company

Trendy Career (trendycareer.ae) is a UAE career platform operating since 2019. As part of our expansion into the Web3 space, we are launching a new advisory vertical specifically for crypto investors and high-net-worth professionals navigating the intersection of digital assets and career decisions. This is a new function inside the company — the person we hire here will be building it from scratch.

About the Role

This role comes from a real observation: the most financially sophisticated participants in the UAE crypto market — active investors, fund allocators, people managing significant digital asset portfolios — face a specific and underserved set of career and professional challenges that nobody in the region is addressing properly.

They want to understand which crypto companies are worth joining from a financial upside perspective, not just a job title perspective. They want to evaluate token compensation packages with the same rigour they apply to investment decisions. They want to know which protocols are genuinely growing versus which ones are manufacturing metrics. And they want career advice from someone who thinks about these questions the same way they do — as an investor, not as a career counsellor.

As Crypto Investment Desk Lead, you will build and run this function at Trendy Career. You will serve as the primary advisor for the investment-minded segment of the platforms professional community — people who evaluate career moves through the lens of financial upside, token economics, and protocol fundamentals. You will develop the frameworks, the services, and the market intelligence that make this advisory offering credible and valuable.

This is a new direction for the company. You will have genuine ownership of it, real resources to build it, and the kind of scope that does not come up often at a platform that already has regional traction.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build Trendy Careers crypto investment advisory vertical: services, frameworks, and intelligence products specifically for the investment-minded professional market in the UAE

Develop a protocol and employer evaluation methodology grounded in investment fundamentals: tokenomics analysis, treasury health, on-chain activity signals, team track record, and competitive positioning

Advise senior professionals on how to evaluate career opportunities through an investor lens — total compensation analysis, token grant valuation, protocol upside assessment, and how to think about career optionality in a rapidly evolving market

Build and maintain a proprietary database of crypto employer financial health indicators for the UAE and GCC market — the kind of intelligence that helps a senior professional decide whether joining a protocol is a smart financial decision, not just an interesting role

Produce investment-grade research on the Web3 employer market: which companies are well-capitalised, which have strong on-chain fundamentals, and which are worth betting a career move on

Develop relationships with the crypto investment community in the UAE — fund managers, angel investors, protocol treasuries, and high-net-worth individuals active in the space — who represent both potential clients and strategic partners

Work with the broader Web3 team to integrate investment intelligence into the platforms core services: job listings, compensation data, and employer profiles

Requirements

What this role genuinely needs:

A serious background in crypto investing — not trading as a hobby, but active capital allocation across digital assets with a track record you can speak to honestly, including losses and lessons. You think about crypto companies the way a venture investor thinks about startups: fundamentals, token economics, team quality, competitive moat, and financial runway.

You understand how to read a protocols on-chain activity as a financial signal. You know the difference between genuine TVL growth and incentive-driven TVL that evaporates when rewards dry up. You have evaluated token compensation packages from the inside — as someone who has received them, negotiated them, or advised on them — and you understand what makes one genuinely valuable and another a trap.

You also need to be able to build relationships with sophisticated investors and high-net-worth professionals. These are people who will immediately assess your financial credibility. You need to be able to hold a peer-level conversation about capital allocation, protocol economics, and investment risk with someone who manages a serious portfolio.

Strong written and verbal English. The research and advisory output you produce will be read and judged by financially sophisticated people.

5+ years total professional experience; crypto investing and on-chain activity as a serious, sustained part of your financial life for at least 3 years.

Dubai or relocating from GCC with genuine immediacy.

Good to have: Background in venture capital, investment banking, or asset management alongside crypto experience. Experience structuring or evaluating token-based compensation or investment instruments. Existing network among crypto fund managers or HNW investors in the UAE/GCC. Track record of published investment research or analysis in the crypto space.

What We Offer

Base salary: AED 580,000 – 880,000 per year (approx. USD 158,000 – 240,000)

Total annual compensation target: AED 760,000 – 1,150,000+
