Role Overview

We are looking for a sharp, data-driven Crypto Investment Analyst to support our investment team in sourcing, evaluating, and monitoring early-stage Web3 opportunities. You will be the first line of defense in our deal flow pipeline, conducting initial due diligence, analyzing tokenomics, and tracking on-chain metrics to identify breakout projects before they hit the mainstream.

This role is ideal for a crypto-native individual who spends their time exploring new protocols, participating in DAOs, and understanding the nuances of DeFi, Infrastructure, Gaming, or Consumer Apps. You will turn raw data and market noise into actionable investment insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Deal Sourcing & Screening: Monitor emerging trends, hackathons, and community channels to identify promising early-stage projects. Perform initial screening of inbound applications against our investment thesis.
• Fundamental Due Diligence: Conduct deep-dive research on prospective investments. Analyze whitepapers, team backgrounds, competitive landscapes, and product-market fit.
• Tokenomics Analysis: Evaluate token distribution models, vesting schedules, inflation rates, and utility mechanisms. Identify red flags such as excessive insider allocation or unsustainable emission curves.
• On-Chain Analytics: Use tools like Dune, Nansen, Etherscan, and DefiLlama to verify project claims, track user growth, TVL, and holder distribution.
• Investment Memos: Prepare concise, compelling investment memorandums (IC Memos) for the Investment Committee, highlighting risks, opportunities, and valuation rationale.
• Portfolio Monitoring: Track the performance of existing portfolio companies, monitoring key milestones, burn rates, and on-chain activity.
• Market Intelligence: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes, technological upgrades (e.g., Ethereum L2s, ZK-proofs), and macro trends affecting the crypto market.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in crypto research, investment analysis, or equity research. Fresh graduates with strong personal crypto portfolios and proven analytical skills are also welcome.
• Crypto-Native: Deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals (Consensus, L1/L2, DeFi primitives, NFTs, DAOs). You actively use Web3 products (wallets, DEXs, bridges).
• Analytical Skills: Strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills. Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets is required. Experience with SQL or Python for data analysis is a plus.
• Research Tools: Familiarity with on-chain analytics platforms (Dune, Nansen, Arkham, Glassnode) and crypto data aggregators (CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, Messari).
• Communication: Excellent written English. Ability to synthesize complex technical information into clear, concise reports.
• Mindset: Curious, skeptical, and detail-oriented. You love digging for truth in a sea of hype.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Salary: $115,000 - $155,000 USD per year.
