Job Description

As a Credit Specialist, you will assume a critical role within our finance team, focusing on credit management and accounts receivable functions. Your responsibilities will include evaluating credit risks, managing credit policies, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, contributing to the financial stability of the hotel.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess the creditworthiness of potential customers and partners.
  • Establish credit limits and terms in line with company policies and industry standards.
  • Review credit applications and make informed credit decisions.
  • Develop and maintain credit policies and procedures.
  • Implement credit control measures to minimize risk exposure.
  • Monitor compliance with credit policies and standards.
  • Oversee accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, billing, and collections.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Monitor and reconcile customer accounts.
  • Manage the collection process for outstanding debts and invoices.
  • Establish effective debt recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with customers to resolve payment disputes or issues.
  • Generate reports on credit performance and outstanding balances.
  • Analyze receivables data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide regular updates to the head of finance.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers and partners.
  • Address customer inquiries related to credit terms and invoices.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to support revenue generation.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and credit-related laws.
  • Assist in internal and external audits related to credit and receivables.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the finance department to streamline credit and receivables processes.
  • Provide support and training to team members as needed.
  • Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly manner, prioritizing guests and colleagues health and safety, as well as environmental conservation.
  • Adhere to hotel environmental, health, and safety procedures and policies.
