The financial services firm is hiring a Senior Credit Analyst based on-site in the United Arab Emirates. The role sits within the Credit function and covers Business Banking credit assessment, credit operations, risk controls, and stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Assessment & Decisioning
Review and evaluate Business Banking credit applications in line with approved credit policies and guidelines.
Conduct credit checks, documentation reviews, and system validations before recommending or issuing decisions.
Process approvals, declines, and rejections within the relevant credit systems.
Ensure all decisions are supported by accurate analysis and complete documentation.
Credit Operations & Administration
Process credit-related activities accurately and within agreed turnaround times.
Issue Letters of Undertaking (LOU), Local Purchase Orders (LPO), and related documentation following approval.
Support ongoing credit administration and portfolio maintenance activities.
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of management information and reporting.
Risk Management & Controls
Perform periodic control checks and identify discrepancies or process gaps.
Escalate irregularities, incidents, or potential risks in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with internal procedures, operating guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Contribute to maintaining a strong control environment across the Credit function.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with Business Banking, Sales, Credit Operations, and other internal stakeholders.
Communicate on application status, documentation requirements, and operational matters.
Support internal customers while maintaining service quality and turnaround standards.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve credit processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
Recommend enhancements that improve customer service while maintaining risk discipline.
Participate in departmental initiatives and continuous improvement programmes.
Support the implementation of new procedures and best practices.
Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Banking, Economics, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience within banking or financial services.
Experience in credit operations, credit assessment, lending operations, or a related function.
Understanding of retail and/or business banking credit processes.
Knowledge of credit policies, documentation requirements, and lending processes.
Familiarity with banking systems and credit workflows.
Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within the banking sector.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to process transactions and reviews accurately.
Solutions-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.
Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions.
