Job Description

The role of a Crane Technician is crucial in industries that rely on heavy machinery for lifting, moving, and placing materials. As a Crane Technician, you will be expected to inspect, maintain, and repair cranes used in various industrial settings such as construction, shipping, and manufacturing. Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to assess crane technical conditions.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on cranes to ensure functionality.
  • Oversee the installation and dismantling of crane equipment as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work completed.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards at all times.
  • Order and replace parts as necessary to maintain crane performance.
  • Provide training and support to crane operators for safe crane operation.
  • Respond promptly to emergency repair needs as they arise on-site.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repair and service needs.
  • Regularly update knowledge on technological advancements in crane systems.
  • Draft and revise service reports for review by management and clients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in crane maintenance or repair.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical crane systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnostics.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordination with team and clients.
  • Physical ability to climb and work at heights safely.
