Job Description

The Counter Sales Executive is a pivotal role in retail and sales environments, responsible for managing customer interactions at the sales counter. This role requires a keen understanding of customer service, sales strategies, and inventory management. The Counter Sales Executive serves as the point of contact for customers, assisting them with inquiries, providing product details, and facilitating the purchase process. Additionally, they will be involved in merchandising tasks, order processing, and ensuring that the sales environment is welcoming and efficient. Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers promptly upon arrival at the sales counter.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide detailed information about products.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems.
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and fully stocked sales counter area.
  • Build strong relationships with customers to encourage return business.
  • Manage inventory levels and alert management of stock shortages.
  • Update retail displays regularly to reflect current promotions and products.
  • Handle customer complaints and escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • Provide support in merchandising and setting up promotional displays.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures of the retail environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve overall store and sales targets.
  • Stay informed on new products, services, and policies to effectively assist customers.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a retail or sales role is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers.
  • Ability to operate POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in sales is a plus.
