Job Description
The Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring project costs, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure projects are completed within budget. They analyze project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost control procedures. Additionally, they provide financial reports and recommendations to stakeholders regarding project expenditures and financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor project costs and compare them with budgeted amounts.
- Analyze project cost variances and identify areas for cost reduction.
- Develop cost control procedures and standardize processes.
- Collaborate with project teams to forecast project costs.
- Prepare financial reports and communicate project expenditures to stakeholders.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure adherence to cost control procedures.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in cost control.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in cost control or financial analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in financial management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
