As a Cost Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the financial performance of our organization. You will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing costs, budget variances, and financial trends to ensure effective cost management. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to identify and implement cost-saving measures.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze the financial performance of the organization, with a focus on cost control and efficiency.
Review and track expenses, identifying variances against budgeted costs.
Assist in the development and management of annual budgets, working closely with department heads to ensure accuracy.
Monitor adherence to budgetary constraints and recommend adjustments as needed.
Conduct cost-benefit analysis on proposed projects, investments, and operational changes.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations to management.
Prepare regular financial reports, cost reports, and variance analyses for management.
Provide financial insights and explanations for budget variances.
Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize carrying costs and obsolescence.
Conduct periodic inventory reconciliations and valuation assessments.
Review and approve purchase orders, expense reports, and invoices to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines and cost policies.
Collaborate with departments to streamline processes and identify opportunities for cost reductions without compromising quality or efficiency.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
Assist in financial audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A relevant certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.
3+years of experience in cost control, cost accounting, or financial analysis.
Proficiency in financial software and tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
