Cost Control Manager

The Cost Control Manager oversees and manages cost analysis and control functions to support project delivery within budget constraints. This role is crucial in construction, engineering, or manufacturing settings, where monitoring budgets, forecasting costs, and reporting financial performance are essential to operational success. The role requires precision, strong financial acumen, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement cost control systems and procedures.

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking tools for ongoing projects.

• Monitor project expenditures and compare actual vs. planned costs.

• Conduct variance analysis and prepare detailed cost reports.

• Liaise with project managers to ensure financial alignment with project goals.

• Review supplier and subcontractor invoices to ensure cost accuracy.

• Analyze and validate changes in project scope and their financial impact.

• Assist in financial risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses.

• Present cost updates to senior management regularly.

• Support audits and compliance with financial policies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in cost control, preferably in construction or EPC sectors.

• Strong command of cost control tools and project management software.

• High proficiency in MS Excel and financial modeling.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking.

• Strong communication and reporting skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and finance teams.
