Overview Of The Role

Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in automotive Aftersales administration and job costing?

We are currently building a strong pool of talented Cost Clerks for future opportunities across the UAE.

As a Cost Clerk, you will play an important role in supporting Aftersales operations by ensuring completed job cards are accurately reviewed, processed, and costed. You will help ensure labour, consumables, oils, paint, materials, and sublet items are correctly invoiced and allocated to the appropriate repair codes.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers and systems, has excellent attention to detail, and understands the importance of accuracy and efficiency within a busy automotive workshop environment.

What You Will Do

  • Review, verify, cost, and process completed workshop job cards on a daily basis.
  • Ensure labour hours and repair times are correctly claimed and allocated against each repair.
  • Verify the correct allocation of job codes, repair incidents, and associated repair codes.
  • Ensure labour, consumables, oils, paint, materials, and sublet items are accurately captured for invoicing.
  • Return incomplete or incorrect job cards to the relevant team with clear reasons for correction.
  • Support accurate workshop invoicing and help minimize lost productive hours.
  • Monitor outstanding and uncosted repairs and escalate where required.
  • Review Work in Progress to ensure job cards are processed and costed.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow established operational processes.
  • Use SAP and other relevant systems to support accurate job costing and processing.

Required Skills To Be Successful

  • Good understanding of automotive workshop and Aftersales processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of job cards, repair codes, labour hours, and workshop costing.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • SAP or automotive dealer management system knowledge is preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

About The Team

You will be part of a busy Retail Aftersales team, working closely with workshop and reception colleagues to ensure completed repair work is accurately processed and costed.

Accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork are critical to ensuring job cards are completed correctly, workshop revenue is captured, and Work in Progress is effectively managed.

What Equips You For The Role

  • High school, college, university, or relevant technical education.
  • Government or National Trade Certificate in Mechanical Automotive Engineering as a minimum technical qualification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar reception-related role.
  • Good knowledge of automotive Aftersales and workshop operations.
  • SAP Dealer System knowledge is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills.
  • A proactive, task-oriented, and team-focused approach.
