Objectives Of This Role

• Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times
• Raise the bar continually for writing fresh Arabic 1st copy that connects with the desired audience and drives action
• Be adept at varying the voice, style, and other characteristics of messaging based on communication channels and different audiences.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communication
• Stay current on Deliveroo's appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistent messaging.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Interpret creative briefs to develop concepts (Arabic 1st)
• Work with the brand and marketing team to develop Arabic 1st copy and captions for campaigns
• Work with the marketing team to develop Arabic 1st copy for CRM and other owned channels
• Translating content from English to Arabic and vice versa ~ main skillset strength is Arabic copywriting
• Research and understand customer needs and target audiences in the UAE and Kuwait ~ Ability to write up copy in Arabic that suits the dialect for UAE & Kuwait market (it will entail Local Arabic Khaliji that is relevant for UAE & for Kuwait (different dialect than UAE) ~ not only white formal Arabic
• Write original Arabic 1st copy and edit content for a range of marketing and communications materials
• Present Arabic copy concepts and final deliverables to the team
• Revise Arabic copy based on feedback
  
  

Required Skills And Qualifications

• 2-3 years of professional Arabic copywriting experience, with a solid portfolio of work
• Exceptional writing and research skills
• Ability to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines
• Excellent organisational skills and multitasking ability
  
  

Preferred Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in journalism, Arabic, (incl.English), communications, or literature
• Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides
• Experience with content management systems
• A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design
