The Opportunity:

Were looking to fill an opening for a Content Writer, Asset Management, to join our Communications team.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Communications, the Content Writer, Asset Management is responsible for translating complex asset management topics into clear, compliant, customer-centric content that helps advisors and investors find, understand, and act on the right information. Youll bring a strong point of view on digital-first storytelling, writing for AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and SEO, and support continuous optimization based on performance insights.

What your day looks like:

  • Plan, write, edit, and publish digital-first content that supports Asset Management go-to-market plans (e.g., product launches, campaigns, seasonal themes, advisor programs)
  • Create short- and long-form content across owned channels (e.g., web pages, email, social posts, landing pages) and support paid/partner placements with copy aligned to channel best practices
  • Write for AEO/GEO and SEO by structuring content for discoverability, clarity, and direct answers (e.g., FAQs, snippet-ready copy, headings, schema-aware formats as guided by digital team standards)
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Content Marketing, Digital, Compliance/Legal, and Product (squad) teammates to develop content that is accurate, compliant, and customer centric
  • Operate within a squad environment: participate in working sessions, manage a content backlog, estimate effort, and deliver iteratively within sprint timelines
  • Translate asset management concepts (e.g., performance, risk, portfolio construction, active/passive, fund positioning, asset allocation, fees, distribution) into plain-language, benefit-led stories for target audiences (advisors, intermediaries, investors)
  • Ensure adherence to brand voice, style guidelines, accessibility, and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by documenting repeatable processes, templates, and playbooks for content production and optimization

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience writing and editing marketing content in a digital-first environment
  • Demonstrated experience writing for SEO and AEO/GEO, including structuring content for search intent, featured snippets/answer formats, and scannability
  • Experience within wealth management or investment industry is required, plus working knowledge of asset management concepts and terminology (mutual funds/ETFs, investment mandates, performance and risk, portfolio construction)
  • Highly proficient writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a portfolio that includes web-first content and conversion-oriented copy
  • Comfort collaborating with product squads and cross-functional stakeholders; experience working in agile-like workflows (preferred)
  • Ability to translate complex topics into clear, customer-friendly language while maintaining accuracy and compliance
  • Strong organizational skills: able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and reviews/approvals in a regulated environment
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $83,000 - $100,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
