With tens of millions of views across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, and a loyal audience that spans the globe, #ABtalks has grown from a passion project into a cultural force. Every episode we produce is crafted with intention — from the questions asked to the way the story is told in edit.

This is a 3-month unpaid internship designed to give emerging creatives real-world experience on a high-profile production. If youre looking for an internship where your work will actually be seen — and felt — this is it.

About the Role

We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented Video Editor to craft engaging, platform-native content for social media. This role is ideal for someone with strong storytelling instincts, a pulse on content trends, and the ability to deliver high-quality, short-form content on a consistent basis. You’ll also contribute to the show’s creative evolution through ideation, testing new formats, and repurposing content from past episodes into thematic, emotionally resonant clips.

What Youll Be Learning & Doing

1. Episode Release Assets (Twice to Three Times Per Month)

Under guidance from the content team, youll work with episode footage to support the creation of short-form edits across #ABtalks core formats:

1. Watch and analyze raw episode footage (90+ minutes) to identify compelling moments.
2. Learn to add clean English & Arabic subtitles across all content
3. Develop consistency with #ABtalks visual identity and tone
4. Receive regular feedback and creative direction from the team
5. Support the editing and delivery of the following per episode:

• 1x Guest Introduction (45–60 sec, 9x16 & 4x5) — learn to craft emotionally grounded intros using pacing, music, and storytelling
• 1x Official Trailer (45–60 sec, 9x16 & 4x5) — practice building high-energy edits with strong hooks and rhythm
• 1x Guest Clip (35–55 sec) — focused edits highlighting key insights or emotional moments
• 3x Teasers (15–25 sec) — short, impactful snippets to generate buzz
• 1x Call-to-Action Clip (up to 3 min) — engagement-driven edits to drive traffic to full episodes
• 1x Audio Podcast cut (MP3 format)

2. Creative, Compilations & Revival Clips (Weekly)

• Assist in editing short-form revival clips (15–60 sec) drawn from archive episodes
• Explore thematic, emotion-driven edits (e.g. self-growth, relationships, vulnerability)
• Get exposure to vertical platform best practices for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
• Experiment with pacing, music, and format under team guidance
• Apply subtitles, music, and basic motion graphics where applicable

3. Collaboration & Growth

• Join weekly brainstorm sessions and contribute fresh ideas — your perspective matters
• Work closely with the social media team to understand how content strategy shapes editing decisions
• Participate in feedback cycles and build the habit of iterating quickly and accurately
• Grow your understanding of tone, platform performance, and long-form to short-form storytelling

What Were Looking For

• Currently studying or recently graduated in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field
• Basic to intermediate experience with video editing software — Premiere Pro and/or After Effects is a strong plus
• A genuine interest in storytelling and content creation
• Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and improve with each edit
• Some exposure to editing for Reels, TikTok, or Shorts (even personal projects count!)
• Organized and able to manage deadlines with support from the team
• Fluent in English & Arabic is a must

Nice to Have

• Any experience with motion graphics or sound design
• Familiarity with #ABtalks or similar podcast/interview formats
• Interest in the intersection of culture, storytelling, and digital media
