Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Radiologist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for interpreting a wide range of diagnostic imaging tests and providing expert radiology services to patients. Responsibilities

  • Interpret and report on various medical imaging studies including X-rays, CTs, MRIs, and ultrasounds.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to discuss diagnostic images and treatment plans.
  • Ensure all radiological equipment is operating efficiently, and report any issues or malfunctions.
  • Provide expert guidance and second opinions to support clinical decision-making processes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior radiology staff and radiographers in best practices.
  • Participate in and possibly lead inter-disciplinary meetings and case discussions.
  • Stay updated on advancements in radiology technology and integrate new methods as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of imaging results and patient data.
  • Develop and implement protocols to enhance diagnostic accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct audits and engage in continuous quality improvement processes.
  • Perform interventional radiology procedures if required and qualified to do so.
  • Champion health and safety standards, ensuring all practices align with medical regulations.

Requirements

  • Medical degree with specialization and board certification in Radiology.
  • Extensive experience in interpreting a wide range of diagnostic imaging modalities.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to explain findings clearly.
  • Current registration with the medical board and in good professional standing.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary medical team.
  • Strong commitment to the principles of patient care and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated track record of engaging in continued professional development.
