Job Description

As a Consultant Radiologist, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis and management of patients across various medical settings. Utilizing advanced imaging techniques such as MRI, CT, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy, you will provide accurate and timely interpretations of medical images to aid clinicians in formulating effective treatment plans. Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret a variety of radiological examinations including MRIs, CTs, and X-rays.

  • Ensure high-quality imaging and accurate interpretation for accurate diagnosis.
  • Communicate effectively regarding patient results with other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of radiation safety to protect patients and staff.
  • Provide expert advice on imaging procedures and strategies for patient care improvement.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss and plan optimal patient care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, offering guidance and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of patients’ radiological histories and reports.
  • Engage in continuous learning and development to keep skills and knowledge current.
  • Utilize radiological technology efficiently, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Respond promptly to emergency cases, providing expert radiological assessment and care.

Requirements

  • Medical degree with specialization in radiology recognized by relevant medical boards.
  • Valid certification and registration with an appropriate health professional body.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical radiology setting post-qualification.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex imaging results.
  • Strong communication abilities for interaction with healthcare staff and patients clearly.
  • Proven expertise in a range of imaging technologies including MRI, CT, and ultrasound.
  • Commitment to staying informed about advances in radiology and related technologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and capability to mentor junior team members effectively.
